There’s something about a low & wide old-school Trans Am that just looks so cool. It probably has to do with the fact that they’re such a rarity on the road these days, so when you see one, you can’t help but take notice.
That’s certainly the case with this badass Pontiac Firebird Trans AM owned by Trystan Carrington. He’s brought it back to life with some legit contemporary modifications and enjoys the vintage feel of this analog machine that twists the necks of the passers-by and blows up all muscle car pages on social media.
Good Old F-body Trans Am
The F-body Trans Am is a car that stands out in the history of American classic cars thanks to the one-of-a-kind Targa top design and certainly the gold Phenix on the hood. Maybe it’s the way it looks like it’s always ready to pounce, or maybe it’s because it harkens back to a simpler time when cars were less complex and more fun but the love for these cars doesn’t seem to fade.

1977 Trans Am Conversion Front End
Its 1977 Trans Am Front end conversion, all-blacked-out exterior, and low stance give it an aggressive look, while the front bumper splitter and huge rear duckbill spoiler lend it a bit of sporty character.
Cammed Pontiac 400
Under the hood, it has a good old Cammed Pontiac 400 with aluminum heads which produces amazing sound at idle and can easily destroy rear tires during burnouts (you should check out some video clips on the Instagram page of the owner).
“A low and sporty stance is achieved with a help of coilover suspension and a set of wide XXR custom wheels with deep concave sized 19×10.75 all around.”
LED Headlights
Another cool modern detail of this build is a set of rectangular LED headlights that make it look simply awesome with a black angry-eye tint.
All in all, this is one badass-looking old-school F-body Trans Am that we can’t get enough of. If you’re into vintage muscle cars, then this is definitely one that you need to check out.
