Modified 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1 With a Perfect Stance + Specs & Build Review

Today we would like to showcase another awesome New Edge Mustang build from the @staticstangs crew out of So Cal. Unlike many other projects, it doesn’t have crazy bodywork or mind-blowing performance mods, but it’s clean appearance and perfect stance make it stand out from the crowd.

If you’re into Mustangs, then you definitely know that the 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is quite a special model in the New Edge lineup. This particular example is true to the Mach 1 DNA and perfectly combines clean styling with solid performance. It has been modified to perfection with a set of awesome-looking deep-dish wheels, coilover suspension, and lots of other goodies to achieve that clean look.

Suspension

This Mach 1 was purchased bone stock in mint condition with just 75k miles on the ODO, but it didn’t take long until the modification process began. The owner started with the basics and decided to improve the handling and eliminate the wheel gap first. He chose to install a set of tried and tested BC Coilovers along with a rear sway bar by BMR to stiffen up the suspension and get that nice low stance.

Wheels

The owner has a few sets of wheels, but in the pictures, you can see a staggered set of Aodhan DS01 rims. The front wheels are 18 x 9.5 wrapped with a 265/35R18 tire. The rear wheels are 18 x 10.5 wrapped with 305/35R18 Toyo R888rs tires.

“My favorite part of this build has to be the rear end of this Mach 1 always wanted this setup, especially with the IRS pipes and meaty tires”

Exterior

Among the exterior mods are 99 Cobra front bumper (rear Terminator bumper is coming soon), amber tail lights with a Carbon Driven Terminator wing and full Magic Drift front lip with side skirts which create a ground hugging look.

Performance

Except for the striking looks, this new Edge build has also got some legit upgrades in the performance department that include an IRS exhaust pipes paired with BBK off road x-pipe and some other goodies.
